The Ocean Solutions Microgrant program provides tangible support to youth-led ocean action globally. Through this program, SOA awards up to $2,000 USD to projects that align with UN SDG 14 targets and are led by Young Ocean Leaders (ages 18-35).

Broadly, SOA seeks to support direct ocean action to conserve and sustainably use our ocean; but the ocean is critically linked to other areas like climate and human health, so we encourage applicants with projects that address a key ocean issue but may have wide-ranging benefits.

We seek to strengthen youth involvement in the ocean sector (across business, education, policy, and research) through projects that further their career development or create professional opportunities.

The application deadline is May 31. Learn More or Apply Now!

Please note: Project leaders must be proficient in English.

Selected applicants are eligible to receive more project funding and skills development through the Deep Dive: Community Leadership program in October.

This is a month-long, virtually-attended program that provides both cross-disciplinary and holistic support that will develop your capacity as a leader. Through a curated curriculum, 1:1 mentorship, and peer to peer learning opportunities, you will increase your awareness of both yourself and the systems you take part in.  By the end of the program, you will have an  enhanced capacity to systemically transform the inner and outer dimensions of your life and an increased ability to affect change on both a local and global level. Together, we can spearhead a worldwide movement to heal our ocean in one lifetime and co-create the planet we want to inhabit.
