Introducing: The Ecopreneur Network

SOA Blog

Sustainable Ocean Alliance is accelerating ocean solutions around the world. Here are their stories.

The days of finite cohort cycles are over. Meet The Ecopreneur Network — Sustainable Ocean Alliance’s new ecosystem of long-term support and innovation for ocean startups.

In 2018, SOA launched the world's first accelerator program dedicated to funding ocean solutions. We have now hosted five cohorts, accelerating 45 startups from 29 countries. To date, we have provided nearly $1 million in funding to our startup solutions. Together, they have raised more than $228 million in total investment capital.

We know that entrepreneurs need sustained community support in order to succeed. We have now evolved the accelerator model into an ongoing “network" to ensure participants receive long-term and continuous support, mentorship, and funding opportunities not limited to a single cohort cycle. SOA will now meet entrepreneurs where they are on their startup journey. We will provide guidance, exposure, community, and access to capital to help scale some of the world’s most impactful for-profit solutions to ocean and climate challenges.

What’s next?

The Ecopreneur Network will officially launch to the public in early 2023. You will have the opportunity to join our fast-growing community of 45 startups and receive critical support in your efforts to make an impact on the climate and ocean industries.
